Novice Trick Class ($20) - Description
Busy and unable to take an hour each week to attend a class?
Is your dog climbing the walls they have so much energy as we continue to social
distance and maybe still working from home? Well we have a fun way to burn off energy:

Tricks!

If you currently have a novice title you can sign up for the intermediate tricks class to work on more advanced tricks, if not you can start with the novice class to cover the basics!

In this TOTALLY ONLINE tricks course you will receive video instructions on how to teach a variety of tricks at your own convenience. The goal of this class is to work towards the AKC’s Novice Trick title, so we hope by the end you will be ready for testing!

This course is great if you want to do therapy work with your dog and gives you something to “show off” to patients and students. Tricks are also a great way to burn off mental energy and incorporate some new, fun things into your training routine. If you are stuck at home with your kids who have nothing to do, work both them and your dogs by giving your kids the task of teaching your pup new tricks every week! With this course you get all the video instruction as well as the ability to talk to a trainer and ask questions or for feedback for just $20!

A few videos will be sent out each week, so you are not overwhelmed with information and can focus on a few tricks at a time.

Once you have reviewed the videos and taught the tricks you will be able to videotape you and your dog doing the tricks you have learned(or others!) and earn your AKC Novice Trick title for an extra $15! You do not have to apply for the title and if you do not want to test there will not be the extra viewing charge, so work towards whatever your goal is! In order to officially earn your title you must have an AKC number which you can get on their website by registering your dog(your dog can even be a mixed breed and be registered!) and there will be additional charges to get your title directly from the AKC.

This course’s official start date is July 5th, but is ongoing in case you are unable to sign up before then. You can sign up whenever available and you will receive an email with instructions and all of the videos we have covered so far. Just because you take the course does not mean you are guaranteed a title. We do our best to help you with all questions and concerns you might have, but some dogs need a few tries before they can earn the title. New videos are sent out each week for you and your pup to work on for the week!

Virtual / Online Puppy Class - Description
In this VIRTUAL puppy class we work on all the basics in a traditional puppy class, but from the comfort of your own home! And because this is a virtual class you can attend with your dog even if they aren’t a puppy! You will get live discussions with a trainer to view your progress and coach you through different behaviors like  focus and attention, respond to their name, sit, down, leave it, take it, drop it, polite greetings and more! The first session is humans only. No dogs will be worked with so we can discuss things like cues, markers and release words, potty training and crate training. We will also walk you through things like desensitization to human touch through handling, and negative puppy behaviors such as nipping and biting. The total course is seven hour long sessions, same time and date each week. So after the first human-only session you will get six sessions where you can work your dog ANYWHERE!
Virtual / Online Advance Class - Description
In our VIRTUAL ADVANCED class, we will focus on making your dog a “Good Canine Citizen” by working towards testing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test! The first week of class will consist of talking about what the CGC test is, why it is important, and how we will work towards this goal. If you are interested in making your dog a therapy dog this is a great place to start!

Classes will meet online each week, same time and day of the week using Google Meets. You will get live instruction and feedback from an instructor who will answer any questions you have in real time!

Behaviors taught in this class will be Stand, as well as reinforcing behaviors previously learned in class and  continuing to add distance, distractions and duration. Dogs will be working on a 20 foot long line for many exercises in this class. 6 week class.
Virtual Socialization Seminar

Stuck at home with your puppy with nothing to do? Are you anxious you aren't going to be able to socialize your puppy now that we are unable to leave our houses for puppy outings? In this $10 seminar we will talk about socialization, what it is, how to do it and most importantly what you should be doing with your puppy NOW to set them up for success after our quarantine is lifted and you are able to take them out and about again. This is an hour-long, no dogs seminar where we will go over games you can play to get your dog tired so you can work from home and have virtual meetings without a puppy in your face, handling activities to get your dog accepting touch before they are older and unwilling to accept new experiences and much much more!

The socialization seminar will be $10 for the hour session. We do not do any work with dogs in this seminar.
