Puppy/Beginner
Introduction to having a dog in your life. Discussions on cues, markers and release words, potty training, crate training, desensitization to human touch through handling, and negative behaviors such as nipping and biting. In addition, humans will be taught how to train their dogs to focus, respond to their name, sit, down, leave it, take it, drop it and greet people politely. Introduction to recall, loose leash walking and stay. 7 week class. No dogs attend the first week. Informational/Discussion only.

Intro to Scent Work @ West Windsor

Have you ever thought your dog just does SO MUCH sniffing there should be a class for that? Well, there is! Scent Work is a fun game based on professional detection work that is great for burning off energy, building up a dog’s confidence and much more! Scent work is something that builds a great relationship between you and your dog and even a short search can burn off as much energy as a sprint! There are no prerequisites necessary and easy to practice at home. No matter the size, age, ability of the dog they can all benefit from Scent Work!

Intro to Odor: @ West Windsor

In this class we introduce your dog to the odor Birch and continue to build their ability to search in other contexts including exteriors and formal containers. We prepare you and your dog for the ORT, or Odor Recognition Test, as well as teaching your dog to solve more complex odor problems.
